Treatment Services Provided

DATS-Services-2014

At Drug and Alcohol Treatment Service, we provide professional counseling for substance abuse and addiction along the traditional lines. Therapeutic techniques and approaches are state of the art, though not experimental. The outpatient service provides group and individual counseling through professional therapists to victims of substance abuse and chemical dependency. Further information on specific services can be found below. In person or telehealth options are available at this time.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

IOP provides supportive therapeutic services meeting the required ASAM criteria (minimum of 9 hours weekly). Patients are provided with individual, group, and family therapy as needed. Patients receive an individualized treatment plan focused on sobriety and enhancing recovery.

Traditional Outpatient

This program provides substance abuse outpatient counseling for a maximum of 8 hours of counseling per week. A client's initial consultation leads to a diagnosis and determines the appropriate level of care. Our program consists of individual, group, and family counseling sessions. An individual, comprehensive treatment plan is designed for each patient with the goals of achieving and maintaining a chemical free, healthy lifestyle.

Adolescent Programming Available

This program provides therapeutic services for adolescents based on presentation and need. The program format may include group counseling, individual, and family therapy. Each adolescent participates in an individualized plan of care focused on achieving a lifestyle free of drugs and alcohol. Emphasis is placed on working through problems caused by their abuse and developing more positive and healthy behaviors.

Certified Recovery Specialists (CRS)

Certified Recovery Specialists (CRS) are persons with lived experience in the community who work with individuals struggling with substance abuse on a peer-to-peer basis.  Services are available to individuals at all stages of the recovery process, including individuals at the pre-contemplative stage of their recovery, as well as those not yet engaged in any type of treatment and/or services.

Onsite School Assessments

The Agency provides on-site assessments at schools in Lackawanna County at their request to help integrate students into a recovery atmosphere.

Case Management Services

Use of Targeted Case Management will allow coordination of services between our facility, on behalf of our clients, with other agencies providing much needed services for our client population in an effort to provide a holistic array of services.  Many of our clients do not know how to access these needed services or even know they exist.  Therapists would be able to coordinate care with various other providers, such as but not limited to: Children and Youth Services, the Mental Health system, Primary Care Physicians, educational, vocational and recreational programming.  Stable, secure and safe housing, material needs, transportation and child care are some of the issues relevant to this forensic population.  These efforts would enable clients to better reach their treatment goals and move in the direction of recovery based living.
