Drug and Alcohol Treatment Service is a private, non-profit agency that provides comprehensive outpatient treatment services to victims of substance abuse disorders. We recognize chemical dependency as a chronic, progressive disease that can be terminal without the proper treatment. The staff at DATS utilizes a variety of traditional and state of the art approaches in helping individuals overcome their substance abuse problem.

Financial Responsibility

DATS services are covered by most major commercial and public insurance plans. Arrangements for private payment are made on a sliding fee scale. At no time is treatment denied to anyone because of an inability to pay. 

Organization

Drug and Alcohol Treatment Service operates as a private 501 (c) 3 non-profit corporation and is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. DATS receives funding from a variety of sources including Federal, State, and Local grants, Medial Assistance, private health insurance, patient payments, and donations. All revenues received are treated as first sources of income.

Drug and Alcohol Treatment Service is a provider for the Lackawanna-Susquehanna Office of Drug and Alcohol Programs. It is fully licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Drug & Alcohol Programs (DDAP).
